NBV is present throughout the country and our activities vary depending on local conditions. All our activities are characterised by our fundamental ideas, which is why we focus our popular education work on our profile areas:
Sobriety
Taking a stand and working for sobriety and a sober lifestyle is fundamental to us. Together with our member organisations in the sobriety movement, we are a social force with unique experience and expertise. Our work aims to increase knowledge and awareness of the effects of alcohol, drugs and other negative addictions on individuals and society.
Inclusion
By inclusion we mean a fair society where people meet regardless of background, experiences, characteristics, history, opinions, affiliations and perspectives. NBV values differences and is a platform for diversity and participation.
Democracy & Organisational Life
Democracy and associational life require participation, influence and power. Our goal is that all participants in our activities should be able to gain knowledge and tools to influence society and thus their own situation. NBV is a resource that strengthens and develops civil society, associations and their members. We exist and conduct activities where a diversity of people and cultures meet.
Cultural life
NBV promotes cultural diversity and the practice and experience of all art forms. There is room for a wide range of culture and art in all its forms for all people.
