Rules for other popular education activities
– Other popular education activities are carried out in freer and more flexible forms than the study circle. But with the same quality rules as for the study circle.
– The purpose of other popular education may be trial activities, children's activities or something else that does not fit into the framework of the study circle.
– Three participants, including leaders, is the minimum for other popular education activities. However, there can be more than in a study circle.
– The gatherings can be longer and more or less frequent than study circles. If the study organisation and the group so decide, a single activity is sufficient.
– There is also no minimum number of study hours. A study hour is always 45 minutes.
– As other popular education activities can be one study hour and one meeting, there is no rule for attendance at a certain number of meetings.
– The group can decide for itself, in consultation with the business developer, how many meetings to have and how often to meet, but must stay within the maximum limit of 480 hours per person per year.
– Activities can be carried out with participants aged 6 and over.
– Follow-up is an important part of the study associations' quality work. Therefore, the business developer at NBV can make a visit to your organisation at one of the meetings, so-called self-monitoring.
