This is NBV's leadership training programme, which can be likened to a staircase. Click on the headings below to go through what each "step" means.
All new circle leaders have an introductory meeting with "their" activity developer. You go through what a study circle is and what you need to know and be able to do before the first meeting with your participants. You will also find out what NBV is and how to handle attendance lists, study plans, etc.
This is the basic training for all leaders within NBV, both study circle leaders and leaders in other popular education activities. NBV wants to be a study association with high quality. We want to strengthen all our leaders and therefore endeavour to ensure that all leaders have this training in their work with us. The training is organised by each NBV region, either on its own or together with another region.
This is where you are in the learning ladder today.
This is an optional continuation training where the emphasis will be on group development and how a group works - What is a group process? - How can I become a better leader? - How can I learn to listen better?
The training is organised centrally. Two days with overnight stay. You must have completed Stage 1 and then been a circle leader for one or more circles for at least 6 months before you can take Stage 2.
Individualised skills development in your area of interest. This could be a training day on recording techniques if you have a music circle or a training day to learn a new technique in a craft if you have a craft circle.
This step is paid for by your region and participation is in consultation with your business developer
